On May 11th, Zhou Zuyi, the Secretary of the Fujian Provincial Committee and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of Fujian Provincial People's Congress, led a delegation from Fujian Province to visit Malaysia and received a warm welcome from local people of Fujianese descent.

The delegation held a cultural and tourism promotion event entitled "Refreshing Fujian: Starting Point Of The Maritime Silk Road Culture And Tourism Promotion" in Kuala Lumpur, during which tourism departments from both Fujian and Malaysia signed a letter of intent for strategic cooperation and agreements on cultural tourism and business projects. The event also featured an interactive area showcasing Fujian's intangible cultural heritage, displaying the diverse and charming tourism resources of Fujian to local residents.
